 Cd player doesn't work February 26, 2010

Normally I don't write reviews much but this cd boombox is not recommended for cd playing. We got a bad one, we tried doing what directions said to play a cd and we tried a couple cds, didn't work for either of them. Very poor, it does work for cassettes and radio but the cd player for us does not work. I highly doubt we'll buy much from this company.

The quality is good for such a low priced box. It works well, sounds good, and is very portable (i.e., good size). I did not rate the battery life because I have not used it with batteries (and do not plan to). I only gave it four stars because it seems a bit fragile, and I would not recommend it for children or for use in a situation where it may get banged about. I bought it to use in the kitchen while I cook, so I expect it to get gentle use. The true test will be how long it lasts, but for this price I'll be happy if I get a year of use.

We like this machine very much. We use the radio, CD player, and cassette player on it daily. I love that it is light weight and the prettiest one out there. It's a good price too!

Good little unit for the price. It won't blow you away with bass or sound quality, but it sounds very good for an inexpensive unit for my wife to have at work. If you want a unit that plays CD's, tapes and the radio for a reasonable price, this will do it. No long term results yet on reliability as we have had it only a few weeks.
